Artist Statement

A great deal of my work is influenced by my favorite past time. Shopping! Many nights I take my 35mm and wander the streets searching for that perfect window with the easel just so, or hat half-cocked, or the doll propped right. Other times the answer is found at the bottom of my closet nestled with a pair of shoes. Sometimes, I think it borders on obsession. But what is art without a little obsession? I feel passionate about what I do. Passion is what it takes to make a better photograph.

I have just begun to realize just how important art is to me and this is why I have begun to get involved with the art world. Art is a way to express something that I have no words for. Emotions run free through the photographs. If you took the time to really look you could feel what I feel and see what I see and may be something I don’t.

Art can be whimsical, Art can be controversial, My Art is just like me.
